Nice. I wish that I had the money to upgrade my computer. The graphics card upgrade that I did recently makes it better than it was. Looks like some very nice parts you are getting. Just 4 gigs of ram?

some of it are modle numbers but other things like my cpu (which i wil be VERRY proud to own is an AMD 6core 3.0GhZ CPU how many of you say you could ever handle 6 cores (i want the new 8 cor CPU that will be comming out in a few monts (but its a bit to excessive) i really dont need more than 4 gb of ram if i ever do i can buy another 4 gb a simmaler computer from alien ware (dell) would cost like $900 and have cheaper parts the only advantage is there watercoolong and i can buy a set for like $100 granted i will NEVER trust a water cooled system unless i can water proof EVERY thing

Long term Lurker, but even I can say this. NEVER EVER PURCHASE XP 64 BIT! EVER! I ran that OS for about four years and I had so many driver issues I wanted to kill the people at Microsoft for even releasing it. I've had no issues since switching to Windows 7 Home. Before you scoff, there is really no advantage to getting Ultimate, unless your university has a partnership with Microsoft. I got Windows Server 2007 for free legally from one of my Engineering buddies.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate. Besides the fact that it is very bloted with crap that I have no need for it seems to run just fine on my system. Seeing as you are getting new parts I would say 7 is your best bet.

Member Posts: 197 |
No that doesn't answer did you order EVERYTHING? Just to make the context clearer EVERYTHING means the parts he wanted to buy. and no not rly jelly, because nothing uses 6 cores, killernat is just buying it to help out AMD who desberately need to release bulldozer. The 6750 is just a rebranded 5750, but that's only because of pressure from OEMs like dell,hp,acer to release new graphic cards. Oh and I bet that psu is gonna blow da fuck up. there some confirmed news on bulldozer
